Pat Breme, RCE, CIPS
Chief Executive Officer
Works directly for the Board of Directors and manages a staff of 7 who are tasked with executing the policies of the Board. Handles professional standards issues including ethics complaints, arbitration requests, mediation and the Citation System. Organizes strategic planning sessions, serves on VAR and NAR committees. Heads up special projects. Staff liaison to Professional Standards, Awards, Grievance, Nominating Committees, Housing First and a member of Budget & Finance, Investment Committees. The person to contact with questions regarding professional conduct. A closet decorator who loves art and her grandgirls.
Barbara Castillo, RCE, CIPS
Professional Development Director
Administers the Real Estate Career Academy. Writes curriculum, hires instructors and creates class schedule for topical classes, CE, PL, Certifications and Designations. Transmits credits to DPOR. Staff liaison to Education, Community Outreach, and Managing Brokers Network. The person to contact if you need classes to complete licensing renewal course requirements. Could be a travel agent or party planner.
Kim McClellan, RCE
Public Policy Director
Handles all legislative, regulatory, and policy issues relating to local and state government. Is the staff liaison to Fredericksburg REALTORS® Foundation, Housing First, Public Relations, Property Management and Legislative and Government Affairs Committees. Represents FAAR in various community organizations and has established a working relationship with many area officials. Is the person to contact with concerns over private property rights, land use and area agencies that deal with housing issues. Former Capitol Hill staffer and Mom to Jack and Ellie, who are honorary FAAR employees.
Assistant Membership Services Director / Receptionist
Meet your membership champion! Barbra Sanders is a Florida native who began her association management career as the education and professional standards director for the Prince William Association of REALTORS ® in 2004. Since then, Barbra has gone on to lead a variety of departments at other professional organizations, including member services, membership development, marketing & communications, and business development. When not working, Barbra loves to spend time exploring new restaurants, touring historic places, and watching paranormal reality TV. She’s married to a retired Army staff sergeant and current IT project manager and has a daughter, son, and four grandkids.
Is the brain trust for all things relating to FAAR finances and financial records. Staff liaison to Budget & Finance and Investment Committees. In charge of preparing the financial statements and reporting to the various agencies. Manages all FAAR accounts including operations, investments, RPAC and the Foundation.
Membership Services Director
Processes new members and issues Sentrilock system. Coordinates orientation, sends dues billing and reminders, turn off keys for lack of payment/non-compliance of ethics requirement. Updates member records to NRDS (National REALTORS® Database System). Manages the REALTOR® Store. Staff liaisons to YPN. She is the person to notify about agent transfers, new companies, registration for classes and events. Is a former New Yorker and brings back cheesecake, bagels and pizza from the Big City.
MacKenzie Rathbun is excited to serve the members of the Association in her position as Marketing Manager. She will be working closely with the entire team and leading the Affiliate Marketing Program. MacKenzie majored in Public Relations and Advertising and earned a minor in Graphic Design at Pensacola Christian College and has been assisting real estate agents and brokerages with marketing since 2015. In her free time, MacKenzie enjoys reading new books, checking out the latest movies, and cross-stitching. On the weekend, she takes her camera downtown to capture the beauty of the city.
Webmaster | Communications Director
Lauren’s job duties include managing communications, website maintenance, engaging members thru social media, and performing special projects as needed. She has over 10 years of professional association and marketing experience and an eye for design. In the warmer months, you can find her kayaking the Rappahannock with friends.
