Fredericksburg Area Association of REALTORS® (FAAR) is proud to announce the launch of the FAAR Travel Scholarship, a new initiative designed to empower local real estate professionals by expanding their reach across state and national stages. Evolving from the foundation of the former Faces of FAAR and Young Professionals Network (YPN) scholarships, this enhanced program offers financial support to members dedicated to professional growth, industry leadership, and community engagement through the three-tier association network (NAR, VAR, and FAAR).
The scholarship awards $1,000 in travel expense reimbursements for key state and national conferences. Qualifying conferences include the Virginia REALTORS® (VAR) Annual Convention, Broker Plus, and PMX Property Management Conference, as well as National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) NXT and Legislative Meetings.
Applicants are asked to submit a short essay detailing their involvement with FAAR, leadership experiences, career development goals, and vision for fostering diversity and inclusion within the industry. Scholarship recipients will also be encouraged to participate in FAAR’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee or the YPN Network to help shape the future of the local association. The deadline for reciept of applications is October 31st with the final recipient announced at the December 3rd Installation & Awards event at UMW’s Jepson Alumni Executive Center.
